Get the word out to leaders at all levels of Optimist International at the annual International Convention, which will take place July 8 through 11, 2009, in Kissimmee, Florida. A wide range of marketing and sponsorship opportunities exists at the 2009 Convention, from exhibit space and advertising in the Convention program to sponsoring special events during the Convention. Optimist Junior Golf is one of Optimist International’s premiere programs. Optimist Junior Golf involves more than 5,000 junior golfers ages 10-18 who play in 45+ District qualifying tournaments throughout North America. The best of these golfers advance to the summer Optimist International Junior Golf Championships where they join golfers from around the world for a week of competition, fellowship and fun. In total, more than 700 golfers and 700 guests attend the Optimist each year.
Top 14- to 18-year-old golfers are invited to attend the winter Optimist International Tournament of Champions, an even more select tournament for top junior golfers.
